Michigan reports 153 new COVID-19 cases, 28 deaths on Thursday – Detroit Free Press

The Michigan health department reported 153 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and 28 new deaths on Thursday, with 24 of the deaths identified as part of a review of vital records. The state has recorded 893,909 confirmed cases and 19,692 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The state reported 16,817 diagnostic tests on Wednesday, with 187 positive for a 1.11% positivity rate.

To date, the state has 105,143 probable cases and 1,253 probable deaths, for cumulative totals of 999,503 and 20,945 deaths.
